Gold Dialogue Promo: Akshay Kumar, as Tapan Das, is determined to not let his reputation affect his dreams

After releasing the making of Tapan Das, the makers of 'Gold' shared a dialogue promo on Monday, featuring Akshay Kumar in an intense avatar. In the 20-second promo, Tapan Das is seen presenting a proposal for the Indian Hockey team. However, owing to his tainted reputation, a man tries to warn the authorities against it.

Adamant about making India win an Olympic gold medal in hockey, a furious Tapan says that he doesn’t care about his name but country’s and hence, demands that his proposal be accepted.

Gold traces the journey of a man dreaming to win free India’s first Gold in Hockey. The sports drama aims to take the audience back in time to witness the struggle of a sports team. Talking about the film in an earlier interview, director Reema Kagti had said, “It’s a fictional take on what happened. Also, it is not just the golden victory in 1948 we will be looking at, but it will encompass 12 crucial years in India’s history."
