'Ghoomketu' trailer: Nawazuddin-Anurag Kashyap's film is fun ride with Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer, Sonakshi's cameos

The trailer for Ghoomketu is out! Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap in the lead roles, the film is a ZEE5 original flick directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra and produced by Phantom Films and Sony Pictures Networks. Nawazuddin plays the titular role, an aspiring writer who comes to Mumbai to fulfil his dream of becoming a famous scriptwriter in Bollywood. While on the other hand, Anurag is shown as a cop who is giving a tough case to solve - the search of Ghoomketu.

The trailer starts with how Ghoomketu is narrating the plot of one of his scripts which is of the horror genre to Santo Bua (Ila Arun) but fails to impress her. Fast forward to Mumbai, where Ghoomketu is meeting various people in the industry with his work but receives no encouragement at all. Dadda (Raghubir Yadav) is seen expressing his disapproval in Ghoomketu becoming a writer. Now the focus changes on the corrupt cop (Anurag Kashyap) who is in search of Ghoomketu, and in the same moment, the latter realises that he has only 30 days to prove himself as a successful writer. The twist to the plot is that both Ghoomketu and Inspector Badlani have been neighbours all this while and they do not realise it!

The trailer also shows a snippet of Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha doing a scene of a blockbuster romantic film in a comical way. You will also see a glimpse of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and the gorgeous Chitrangada Singh in the trailer. What follows is all about confusion, dodging all the odds and winning.

Ghoomketu is releasing on May 22, 2020, on the occasion of Eid.
