From Sridevi's 'Mom' to 'Lipstick Under my Burkha', it's Ladies Special this July

Sridevi returns to the big screen on July 7 when her new film Mom releases all over the world. There was talk of Ranbir-Katrina’s Jagga Jasoos being pitched against Mom, but the thought was nipped in the bud. While Sridevi lords over the first Friday of July, she has also opened the floodgates that month for a stream of chick flicks through the month.

A week after Mom, Shraddha Kapoor takes the center stage as the gangster Haseena Parkar in Apoorva Lakhia’s Haseena — The Queen of Mumbai. The following Friday, July 28, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar featuring the powerful Pink actress Kirti Kulhari releases. And just when you thought there was enough girl power this July, out pops the controversial Lipstick Under My Burkha, a totally unscheduled  release on July  28, along with Mubarakan, which has Arjun Kapoor paired with two actressses — Ileana d’Cruz and Athiya Shetty.
