Varun Dhawan has scored a huge superhit with Judwaa 2 and with the film going past the biggest films in 2017, he has pretty much proven a point that audiences are finally ready to embrace youngsters. There are more like him, most notably, Arjun Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff, and Sushant Singh Rajput, each of whom started his Bollywood career during the last half a decade. Moreover, each one of them (except Tiger) has already scored at least a century each at the box office.

In the coming months, between the five of them, there are 10 major films that have already been announced. It looks like Bollywood is ready to conclude the current decade on a positive note as one looks forward to how these stars emerge as superstars before 2020 kickstarts. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at these five stars and their 10 films that are on the cards.

Varun Dhawan
Films: October, Sui Dhaaga: Made in India

He is at the top of the game as far as stardom, popularity and best choices are concerned. With nine straight successes under his belt, he is ‘now’ already a superstar. All that one hopes is that law of averages doesn’t catch up with him. However, films like October and Sui Dhaaga: Made in India sound quite interesting as they unite him with directors Shoojit Sircar and Sharat Katariya (of Dum Laga Ke Haisha fame).

Tiger Shroff
Films: Baaghi 2, YRF’s next with Hrithik

The manner in which he started his career (Heropanti and Baaghi), it was just a matter of time before he entered the Rs 100 crore club. However, films like A Flying Jatt and Munna Michael didn’t help his cause. Nonetheless, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Baaghi 2 is expected to bring him back in a big way. Also, a major announcement from YRF with Sidharth Anand’s next where he has Hrithik Roshan as the senior partner has enhanced his fortunes.

Arjun Kapoor
Films: Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Namastey Canada

His Mubarakan deserved to be a much bigger success than it eventually turned out to be. Nonetheless, he has emerged as a reliable young actor, who is picking up different subjects and genres. That is apparent with his next couple of releases, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Namastey Canada. The former is a fun-on-the-run film with Dibakar Banerjee, while the latter is the much-awaited sequel to Vipul Shah’s Namastey London.

Sushant Singh Rajput
Films: Drive, Kedarnath

His career has seen different dimensions ever since he started with Kai Po Che! His Raabta may have been a major disappointment but then he has a Rs 100 crore film under his belt in the form of MS Dhoni — The Untold Story. Things are expected to go on an ‘overdrive’ with Sushant after Dharma and Tarun Masukhani’s Drive, an action film, and KriArj and Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, which brings him with Sara Ali Khan.

Sidharth Malhotra
Films: Ittefaq, Aiyaary

He has his own natural non-filmy style of acting that did work well for films like Kapoor & Sons and Hasee Toh Phasee. There may have been hurdles in the form of Baar Baar Dekho and A Gentleman. However, all of that is expected to be forgotten with thrillers like Ittefaq and Aiyaary. The former is the remake of a cult Rajesh Khanna-starrer whereas the latter has him pairing up with Neeraj Pandey, whose name spells class.
