Esha Gupta engaged to designer Nikhil Thampi? Here's the truth!

Recently, Esha Gupta shared a few pictures on her Instagram stories in which she can be seen sharing the frame with noted designer Nikhil Thampi. What grabbed a lot of eyeballs was the caption of on of the pictures which read, "C’mon now I am ready", along with an emoji of a ring. Previously, she had called him as her "boyfriend" when she wished the designer writing, "All the best for today boyfriend @nikhilthampi”.

Now, such comments were quickly taken to be Esha's PDA for her apparent boyfriend and the netizens were left in a frenzy of sorts. Soon, speculations about the actress being engaged to the designer started doing the rounds on social media. While one wouldn't be surprised if another actress from the tinsel town decided to get engaged/married since the wedding bells don't seem to stop with gossip mills regularly churning that one or the other actress is to get married this year and a number of surprise weddings as well, turns out that Esha Gupta is actually NOT engaged to Nikhil Thampi.

Of course the netizens ended up misconstruing Esha's bonding with Nikhil and her social media posts too, to assume that the duo are engaged. In fact, both Esha and Nikhil are the best of buddies and Esha's posts were just a part of her trolling Nikhil. A source told the folks at BollywoodLife, "They keep passing such jokes even while they are shooting.” So, guess they're actually not seeing each other and are besties. 

Meanwhile, Esha was last seen on the silver screens in the Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'Cruz, Emraan Hashmi and Vidyut Jammwal starrer Baadsaho. Next, she'll be seen in J P Dutta's Paltan.
