Diljit Dosanjh-Kartik Aaryan roped in for a romcom

Diljit Dosanjh and Kartik Aaryan would have come together in the movie Boom Boom In New York, but it didn’t happen as the latter opted out. Now, a source tells us that the two actors will be pairing for an upcoming film to be produced by Ramesh Taurani. 

“It’s a romantic comedy story with the two actors in the lead. The hunt for the female lead is currently underway and will be locked soon,” reveals the source. The film is slated to go on the floors in May or June. 

Diljit, who made his Bollywood debut in Udta Punjab seems to be on a roll. He is currently shooting for the biopic on hockey player Sandeep Singh, after which he will start this yet-to-be-titled film. Kartik, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety with the same team of his hit Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise — director Luv Ranjan and co-stars Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh.
