Late actor Dilip Kumar's friends and family including Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor arrived at his residence ahead of his state funeral.

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar is no more. The tragedy king of Bollywood breathed his last today at 98. The news of his demise was shared by his family friend Faizal Farooqui. Later, photos merged of a grief stricken Saira Banu accompanying her husband, last actor Dilip’s Kumar mortal remains to their house.
The news of Dilip Kumar’s death has deeply saddened the entire film fraternity who took to their social media handles to extend condolences. Celebs such as Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn arrived at Kumar’s residence to pay their last respects.
It was announced that Late actor Dilip Kumar will get a state funeral, proceedings of which has already begun. In a video shared by Faizal Farooqui, Kumar can be seen draped in the Indian tricolour. The video also shows Saira Banu standing near the legendary actor’s mortal remains.

The state funeral will be held at 5pm on today (July 7) in Mumbai’s Santacruz.

Speaking of Dilip Kumar`s contribution to Indian cinema, his career had spanned over six decades.He acted in over 65 films in his career and is known for his iconic roles in movies like 'Devdas' (1955), 'Naya Daur' (1957), 'Mughal-e-Azam' (1960), 'Ganga Jamuna' (1961), 'Kranti' (1981), and 'Karma' (1986). His last film was 'Qila', which was released in 1998. He is now survived by his wife and veteran actor Saira Banu.
