After premiereing on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar, 'Dil Bechara' has made its grand Television premiere too. The movie, featuring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has left fans heartbroken once again. They were too hurt seeing Manny on the big screen.
A tweet has been going viral. In the tweet, the fans are saying Sushant entered as Manav (the 'Pavitra Rishta' character which gave the actor fame and entry in Bollywood) and exited as Manny (the character name in 'Dil Bechara'). Most others have also pointed out the similarities between Manny and Sushant in real life.
Sushant re-wrote most of his dialogues in #DilBechara. THIS is why there is so much of Sushant in Manny. This is why this film hits differently because we are watching Sushant come alive and then leave us all over again. pic.twitter.com/bJjyFgOZjY

Just watched #DilBechara on star plus.. I started watching just as last movie of #SushantSingRajput but it turned a very emotional movie which I like. His crying scene in grandma's lap was so real. I couldn't stop my tears.

'Dil Bechara' was Sushant Singh Rajput's last movie ever. The actor was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. Meanwhile, the film released on July 24, 2020 on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar. It marked the directorial debut for Mukesh Chhabra and acting debut for Sanjana Sanghi.
The movie also featured actor Sahil Vaid as Sushant's best friend JP, Swastika Mukherjee as Kizie's mother, Saswata Chatterjee as her father and Subbalakshmi as Manny's grandmother. Saif Ali Khan, too, could be seen in a cameo appearance in the film.
'Dil Bechara' is an official remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama 'The Fault in our Stars'. The movie, too, was based on John Green's popular novel of the same name, which was published in 2012.
In the film 'Dil Bechara', which was originally titled 'Kizie Aur Manny', Sushant plays Manny who suffers from osteosarcoma, while actress Sanjana Sanghi plays the role of Kizie Basu, who is battling thyroid cancer.
