Did you know? 'Makdee' actress Shweta Basu Prasad's engaged to filmmaker beau Rohit Mittal

You do remember Shweta Basu Prasad - the child artiste of 2002 film Makdee right? Well, turns out that Shweta got engaged to her long time boyfriend Rohit Mittal, who's a filmmaker by profession. Shweta and Rohit had been dating for about four years before finally getting engaged in 2017. Shweta was last seen in Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania but she's been pretty active in Telugu cinema. 

A report on the Times of India quoted a source as saying, "The two have been together for four years now and got engaged last year. Both belong to the film fraternity and have collaborated on short films. Not many know that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was instrumental in getting the two together as both Shweta and Rohit are close to him." 

While one would still go the old school way and wait for the guy to pop the question, it was Shweta who actually proposed to Rohit forst in Goa. Reportedly, later on Rohit proposed to her in his hometown - Pune. The source further informed the daily that the duo doesn't want to rush in to marriage right away, though, it's definitely on the cards. 

The actress was quoted as saying by TOI,"Yes, it is true. Rohit and I are engaged but both of us are extremely private about our personal lives so we don't talk about it."

While Shweta is known for her performance in Makdee (2002), she also did some popular TV shows kike Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Karishma Ka Karishma, Kkutumb and others. She will next be seen in The Tashkent Files.
