Janhvi Kapoor who also shot for her first ever magazine cover recently, also spoke to KJo about her mother - late veteran actress Sridevi. In an interview to Vogue magazine, Janhvi revealed that her late mother Sridevi had seen 25 minutes of Dhadak and gave her valuable inputs as well. Janhvi was quoted as saying, "She was very technical about it. The first thing she told me was the things I needed to improve -- she felt the mascara was smudged and it really bothered her. The second half has to be different, she told me... ‘You can’t wear anything on your face.’ That’s all she told me, but she was happy."

In an interview to DNA After Hrs earlier, Janhvi Kapoor's co-star Ishaan Khatter said 'Dhadak is an adaptation and not a remake. The young actor also added that he’s “absolutely aware” that adaptations haven’t worked at the box office recently and said, “But it depends on your intention behind directing a film. Director Shashank Khaitan understood that it’s such an important film for our country. Also, it is so easily adaptable into the different cultural milieu that it was important to make this film reach out to more audiences and he wanted to do it his way.”

Produced by Karan Johar and Zee Studios, 'Dhadak' is all set to release on July 20th 2018.
