On Tuesday, an FIR was filed against vetera Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty's son Mahaakshay Chakraborty aka Mimoh, and his mother Yogita Bali on grounds of rape, cheating and causing miscarriage without consent. The FIR was filed just four das before Mahaakshay's impending nuptials with Madalsa Sharma but looks like it won't affect their wedding plans.
As per the report on a leading daily, Madalsa's mother Sheela Sharma has confirmed that the wedding will take place as planned. She was quoted as saying, "It's happening on July 7. Mimoh met her (the complainant) in 2015 and we are aware of it. In fact, Mimoh had also filed a Non Cognisable (NC) complaint against her for creating trouble in the past. Why has she resurfaced now, just a few days before the wedding? Why did she wait for so long to take action? Everybody has a past and we know the truth."
For those who've come in late, the FIR was filed after a complaint was filed by an actress, who has worked in both Hindi and Bhojpuri films, alleging that Mahaakshay made false promises of getting married to her in future and entered into a physical relationship with her.
A Delhi court on Monday had orderd an FIR to be filed against both Mahaakshay and his mother Yogita Bali. In her complaint, the actress reportedly claimed that She first met Mahaakshay back in April, 2015 and they kept in touch since then. She also alleged Mahaakshay of inviting her over to his flat, spiking her drink and raping her in May 2015.
The complaint also added that Mahaakshay allegedly raped the actrss for four years on the pretext of marrying her and forced her to get an abortion when she got pregnant, since she didn't want a child at that point of time in his career. The actress also alleged that Mahaakshay and his mother Yogita Bali threatened her over call.
