Deepika Padukone is still basking in the phenomenal success of her last release, Padmaavat. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, also starring Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor has become the highest grosser of the year so far.

The film was one of the most difficult ones for her as it was both physically and emotionally exhausting for the actress. With such a lot of hard work that DP had to put into it, it took a toll on her and affected her back and neck.

Buzz is, while shooting for Padmaavat, Deepika further aggravated a previous injury and the pain in her back and neck became unbearable. That's the reason why she was spotted with bandages on her neck on several occasions earlier.

While the actress never really spoke about her health issues, but now, she finally opened up about it at a recently concluded awards show. While interacting with the media, Deepika shared that she's recovering well from the injury and plans to begin taking physiotherapy soon.

She said, "My back is good. I have received a lot of love and wishes. I am starting physiotherapy soon. There is nothing to worry about.”

We're glad that DP has taken some time off for herself, before beginning any new projects. On the work front, the actress had signed Vishal Bhardwaj's next opposite Irrfan Khan. The film's working title is said to be Sapna Didi. But that film is likely to be put on hold due to the health issues of both Deepika and Irrfan, who recently shared that he's suffering from a rare disease.
