A simple WhatsApp chat which was leaked led to the summoning of actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and others. The names reportedly were revealed when Jaya Saha was interrogated in the case.

While Deepika will appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) tomorrow, her images from Koko - a place mentioned in the Whatsapp chat - have been going viral. Deepika was the biggest star at the event, followed by Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sidharth Malhotra.

For the uninformed, the WhatsApp chat which was leaked mentioned a 'K' (assumed to be Deepika's manager Karishma) asked 'D' (presumed to be Deepika) when will she come to Koko, a pub in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The viral chats are also presumed to be from 2017 (October 28, whereas the party took place on October 30).

The actress had more recently (in 2019) called her husband Ranveer Singh her 'super drug'. Soon after, Ranveer was linked to and also trolled along with Deepika.

Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh's names were linked to the case much before NCB officials confirmed it. It was reported that Rhea Chakraborty took their names during interrogation - stating Sushant also partied with them, and got into the habit of drugs on the sets of 'Kedarnath', which starred Sara as the female lead (debut film).

Soon after, Rakul had got permission from the court asking media to not link her name to the case. Fashion designer Simone Khambatta has also been summoned by the NCB. She is expected to appear in court today.
