The makers of Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety have decided to push the release of their film to February 23. Earlier the film was to release on February 9, along with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary.

Things began to change soon after Akshay Kumar decided to defer the release date of his film Pad Man from January 25 to February 9, in order to allow a solo release for Padmaavat, on the request of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This meant three films clashing at the box office on February 9 namely, Aiyaary, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Pad Man.

While earlier the makers of SKTKS had decided not to push the release of their film, looks like they felt it won't be beneficial for anyone if three films released on the same date. Probably that's why they decided to push the release of their film ahead.
