It turned out to be one of the weirdest announcement when John Abraham and KriArj Entertainment decided to release Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran on March 2. Why? Because it was clashing with Anushka Sharma's next Pari which was also backed by the same studio - KriArj Entertainment. But like they say, good sense prevails sooner or later.

In this case, it has happened quicker than we expected. Now, John has withdrawn his film which won't release on the Holi weekend anymore. So that also means Anushka's film gets a solo release on that day.

Confirms a trade source, "It's a no brainer that Anushka is a bigger star than John. Although Pari too will have its audience because it's a rather special film, made with a commercial touch, Anushka will be the biggest draw for the makers at the plexes. On the other hand, John's last few films have not even opened well, leave aside working well at the box office. His market value has dipped. Parmanu might have great content but will suffer at the box office if it clashes with any other film. So it's a good call to shift Parmanu to a later date. It will help both the films."

Previously, it was becoming an ego clash between John and the makers of his film. The action star felt that KriArj was preferring Pari over his film. But now, the discussions have ended and they have all mutually agreed on another date. Adds our source,  "Prernaa Arora understands the business and knows the game really well. She couldn't have had both her films clash, she would lose money from both sides in this clash of egos. So now, they have all decided that Anushka's film sticks to its plan and releases on March 2, whereas Parmanu will now hit screens a month later, on April 6. That is also done to give both the films breathing space as well."

That's a wise call, indeed!
