‘Chhuriyaan’: Sunil Grover to feature alongside Sanya Malhotra in Vishal Bhardwaj's next?

It was recently revealed that Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra and TV star Radhika Madan of Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi fame will play the female leads in Vishal Bhardwaj’s two-heroine project on sibling rivalry, titled Chhuriyaan.

Now in a rather exciting news, comedian-actor Sunil Grover has been roped in to play a lead role in National Award winning filmmaker’s comedy-drama. Actor Vijay Raaz will also be teaming up with Vishal after four years and will be seen playing the father of the female leads.Talking about Sunil’s character, Vishal said in a statement, “I am very happy to have Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz as the two unconventional male leads of my film. Sunil plays a crucial and major part.”

Since the film is set in Rajasthan, the two leading actresses are currently prepping up for their role in the quaint village of Raunsi which is a three hour-drive away from Jaipur. The filmmaker has also been conducting workshops with them.

“All the actors are already learning a beautiful Rajasthani dialect for their roles. Since the narrative has a lot of scope for music, I am working on a five-six song album, packed with folklore and Rajasthani flavour. There will also be a very interesting dance number that I am looking forward to in the film,” Vishal further told Mumbai Mirror in an interview.

As per reports, Chhuriyaan will be completed in two extensive schedules with the second one being set in Mount Abu.
