Check Pics: From Anushka Sharma to Gauri Khan, celebs in New York who skipped IIFA 2017

International Indian Film Academy in its 18th edition got Bollywood to New York. From Salman Khan to Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan to Shahid and Mira Kapoor, it was a star-studded affair which took the Big Apple by storm. But a few celebrities who flew down to the American city had other things on their mind and chose to stay away from the glittering affair of IIFA 2017.

Anushka Sharma and her beau Virat Kohli were spotted in New York, touring the city, taking selies, clicking pictures with their fans and even doing grocery shopping at supermarkets. And while everyone was waiting for the couple to woo their fans at the red carpet of IIFA 2017 too, the two happily stayed away. Their " much needed break" ended without IIFA on their itinerary. As soon as she returns home, Anushka will join SRK to promote her film, Jab Harry Met Sejal and start shooting for her home production Pari.

While Shah Rukh Khan had given IIFA 2017 amiss for promoting his upcoming release Jab Harry Mer Sejal across cities in India, but wifey Gauri Khan was in New York. The lady had had no plans to attend the gala awards nigh but not without meeting her friend Karan Johar who hosted IIFA 2017 main awards night along with Varun Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan.

Even Gauri Khan's girlfriends, Malaika Arora Khan and Bhavna Pandey were in New York at the same time as IIFA 2017, but were busy spending time with their girls' group and their kids and some shopping of course. While Arbaaz Khan joined Salman Khan for IIFA, Malaika was a no show at the awards night.
