Cannes Film Festival 2018: Kangana Ranaut to debut at the prestigious red carpet

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, it's time to make way for Kangana Ranaut's debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. 

The 'Queen' of Bollywood is all set to represent a liquor brand and will be seen walking down the red carpet at the French riviera this year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor have been representing a giant cosmetic brand for many years now and have wowed international media with their stylish appearance at Cannes. Ash debuted at Cannes with 'Devdas' special screening and had filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shah Rukh Khan's company.  For last 16 years, Aishwaya Rai Bachchan have wowed us time and again with her glamorous appearances at Cannes and we are expecting her to appear this year as well.

Style icon Kangana Ranaut is also looking forward to her debut at Cannes and told IANS, "It is overwhelming to witness the recognition and appreciation for Indian cinema at international platforms like Cannes."

This year, several films are going to be screen at the Cannes film festival including actress turned filmmaker Nandita Das' Manto, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rasika Duggal and 'Nakkash' featuring Inaamulhaq will also be screened at Cannes. 

The 71st Cannes Film Festival will run from May 8-19.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut is shooting for her first ever period film, Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi which is up for release in August. The actress will also reunite with 'Queen' co-star Rajkummar Rao for 'Mental Hai Kya'.
