Finally! Sonam Kapoor's first look from the red carpet of Cannes Film festival is out and the fashionista can be seen rocking an embellished Ralph and Russo lehenga on day one. The stunning actress, who tied the knot with Anand Ahuja on May 8, looks every bit of the diva that she is, channelling her inner desi bride vibe in this stunning off-white creation. Since this is her first red carpet appearance post her wedding, Sonam's look was much anticipated.
The actress is known for her penchant for gowns, so it came as surprise when she opted to wear a lehenga at the Cannes red carpet. We love the details of embellishment on the lehenga skirt paired with a cropped top. We totally heart the interesting twist that has been given to the sleeves of the crop top. While one of the sleeves is long and flowy, almost giving the ensemble a cape like appearance, the other sleeve is simply a fitted one till the elbow.
Sonam kept her hair centre parted and sported them in plates and accessorised it pretty well. A pair of studs to go with her wedding rings, pink lip colour and lined eyes completed her look.
The actress got married only last week, hence the (still visible) colour of henna in her hands just adds the right kind of desi touch to her amazing outing for the evening and trust Sonam to pull it off with such elegance! In the few pictures that have surfaced online, Sonam looks nothing less than an Indian princess walking as gracefully at the French Riviera.
