'Can't thank the audience enough for accepting Chhichhore': Director Nitesh Tiwari on film entering Rs 100 crore club

Nitesh Tiwari's latest directorial Chhichhore has not only won the hearts of the masses but also minted well at the box office. The film crossed Rs 100 crore mark on Tuesday and became the latest film to join the club. Talking about it, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Chhichhore is 100Not Out... Solid trending - despite a strong opponent - increases its chances of sustaining at the BO till the biggies arrive [2 Oct]... [Week 2] Fri 5.34 cr, Sat 9.42 cr, Sun 10.47 cr, Mon 4.02 cr, Tue 4.11 cr. Total: ₹ 102.19 cr. #India biz."

When Nitesh was asked about Chhichhore being a part of Rs 100 crore club, the happy filmmaker stated, "I would take it as a token of love that our film has got from the people. Love that has only grown with each passing day. Can't thank the audience enough for accepting Chhichhore as their own and making sure that it reaches a much wider audience."

Chhichhore stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Naveen Polishetty, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Prateik Babbar in the lead roles. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his home banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Talking about Chhichhore's box office success, Taran also tweeted, "Valid observation: ₹ 100 cr is *not* the yardstick to gauge the success of a film... However, it should be celebrated when mid-sized films like #SKTKS, #Raazi, #Stree, #BadhaaiHo, #Uri, #KabirSingh and #Chhichhore hit century... Content is king and audiences are kingmakers!"
