Janhvi Kapoor is all set to work with Boney Kapoor's produced 'Bombay Girl' in 2020. The film is reportedly unlike any other projects the actress has been a part of before.
Janhvi Kapoor is currently working on several projects including a biopic on Gunjan Saxena and Roohi Afza with Rajkummar Rao, Kartik Aaryan's Dostana 2, Karan Johar's Takht and Ghost Stories. The actress is now ready to gear up for a new collaboration with her father. Boney Kapoor recently announced he will be working on a film with son Arjun Kapoor, Comali and yesterday a report in India Today revealed he will also be producing a film for Janhvi Kapoor titled, Bombay Girl.
An industry insider revealed to the portal, “It will see Janhvi in an all-new avatar. Undoubtedly, it’s going to be a special project for both, her as well as Boneyji. After all, the father-daughter duo is coming together for the first time. For the same film, Boneyji has joined hands with [producer] Mahaveer Jain. It’s going to be a coming-of-age story of a rebellious teenager and Janhvi is also very excited about the film as the part is diametrically opposite to her other roles,”
All details about the project are under wraps but the report suggested the film is going to be written and directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy. Boney Kapoor went on to say the film will be completely different than any of Janhvi's projects. “I am surely very excited about the film. Janhvi will be doing something completely different from what she is doing in all her other movies.”
He also talked about working with Janhvi for the first time, “I feel whenever a parent works with his/her kids, it’s an emotional experience, and the same holds true for me. I was equally overwhelmed when I teamed up with Arjun for the first time.”
