Biography and a biopic! Honey Singh offered a whopping Rs 25 Crore to tell his story

While a lot of his life has played out in the public domain, there’s a lot the world doesn’t know about him. Publishers are wooing him to pen a biography and the possibility of making it into a biopic. According to sources, he was recently offered Rs 25 crore by a publisher. 

Yo Yo became a national phenomenon when his song Angreji Beat was released under Cocktail’s album. Post that he was on the wishlist of every Bollywood producer. He has worked with the biggest of superstars be it Shah Rukh Khan or Akshay Kumar. His songs like Chaar Bottle Vodka, Manali Trance, Party All Night and Lungi Dance have been chartbusters. The source adds, “What people don’t know about are his struggles to reach where he has, the downfalls, how he managed to overcome them.”

Besides his success story, the publishers are obviously looking for the musician’s tale of living with the bipolar disorder. The source says, “The bipolar disorder that he sought treatment for will be one of the important chapters as nobody is aware of what really happened. One fine day, at the height of his stardom, the rapper just disappeared. The impact that it had on his life and how he worked towards dealt with it will be significant.”
