'Bharat' effect: Did Priyanka Chopra lose out Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film due to Salman Khan?

Even after a year, Priyanka Chopra Jonas leaving Bharat has been a topic of discussion, courtesy Salman Khan, who brought it up during several media interactions. For the uninitiated, Priyanka left Bharat a few days before the shoot so as to tie the knot with her now-husband Nick Jonas. She was replaced by Katrina Kaif and now the film has finally hit the screens on June 5, 2019. 

When Salman was asked if he will work with PeeCee again, he told Mumbai Mirror, "I would definitely work with her in the future. If she gets me a meaty role, why wouldn't I work with her? I just need to love the story." But looks like that's not the case anymore! As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka lost out on working in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film due to Salman. When he was signed for the film, PeeCee was out of the project, the reports suggested.

Talking about the same, a close friend of Salman stated to the entertainment portal, "You think Bhai will ever work with her again? Not in this life. Bhansali had to choose between Bhai and Priyanka. And the choice is a no-brainer."

Meanwhile, when Katrina was asked about Salman's alleged taunts to Priyanka, she said during an interview with Rajeev Masand, "You have to take everything that Salman says with a big bucket of salt. I think we all know that by now. He just says it for effect, he does not mean it. Sometimes, in interviews, I am biting my tongue like 5 times in a day, but it’s all in good fun. I don’t take it seriously."
