Batti Gul Meter Chalu vs Helicopter Eela: Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor’s clash with Kajol averted

Yesterday, we had reported that the makers of Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer, Batti Gul Meter Chalu (BGMC) had announced that the film would release on September 14.

This saw the Shree Narayan Singh-directed social drama clashing with Kajol’s next, Helicopter Eela, which is produced by her husband, actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn and directed by Pradeep Sarkar.

However, this clash has been averted as the makers of BGMC postponed the movie’s release by a week, to September 21. Considering that Bhushan Kumar, producer of BGMC, has previously worked with Ajay on Baadshaho and Raid, and is also producing his next romcom, along with Luv Ranjan, this is not too surprising. Chalo, all’s well that ends well.
