B-Town has been partying hard

It’s the high-octane, caviar-soaked party week in Bollywood. While many of the rich and famous have taken off to foreign shores, the ones who are left behind have decided to live it up in style in the bay.

Akshay Kumar has gone to Cape Town, Hrithik Roshan has taken his ex-wife Sussanne, his kids and other members of the family on a skiing trip, Rohit Shetty is celebrating Christmas in Dubai and Ajay Devgn took his flock to his farmhouse near Karjat. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan flew overseas two nights ago with son Taimur nestled safely in his nurse’s arms.

All of them didn’t have to RSVP Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli who had their reception in Mumbai last evening. Nor did they have to tell Salman Khan why they couldn’t attend his birthday bash on his farmhouse. In fact, it was the guys in Mumbai who had to find excuses. For example, Shah Rukh Khan was definitely required to attend both Virushka’s reception and Salman’s birthday party. And it really meant that he needed to travel from the hotel in Central Mumbai to SK’s farm on the outskirts of the city.

Others like Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar only had to attend Virushka’s reception. But there are several other intimate dinners happening in B-Town in the lead up to the New Year, where the stars are expected to converge.
