Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll after the success of Bareilly Ki Barfi. He is also gearing up for two movie releases in upcoming months -- Badhai Ho and Andadhun.

But since Vicky Donor released in 2012, did you notice something different about the actor?

He has been fending off rumours about this artistic choice for a long time now. But recently in an interview, he revealed the real reason behind the decision, reports India Today.

Khurrana confirmed that it was wife Tahira Kashyap's discomfort over the actor kissing Yami Gautam in his Bollywood debut movie that led to the decision of ditching the act altogether.

He said, "Of course, she was. I was wanted by everyone (after Vicky Donor became a hit). We were also going through a rough patch. She was not ready for all this."

"She did not want me to kiss on screen. You see, we're like the first boyfriend and girlfriend of each other (when we fell in love at a very young age)."

The Dum Laga Ke Haisha star also revealed that as the years have passed Tahira has matured and now handles such situations better than before. The duo has been married for eight years now and is doting parents of Virajveer and Varushka.

"Tahira is also an artiste. She has grown tremendously. I was very immature when I married. Plus, we had a long-distance marriage (Tahira stayed in Chandigarh) for the longest time. I am glad that things are good now," Khurrana signed off.
