Saroj Khan passed away due to cardiac arrest on July 13, 2020. A video of Kareena Kapoor Khan remembering how frightened she was of the veteran choreographer on a movie set, has been going viral.
In the video from the reality TV show 'Dance India Dance', Kareena was seen talking about Saroj Khan. The ace choreographer was called on the show as a special judge and she even performed with Kareena.
Remembering Saroj Khan's exact words, Kareena said, "Aye ladki, kamar hila (hello girl, show me your moves)." She then remembered the whole conversation and continued, "Kya kiya maine, Masterji? (What did I do masterji?)" "Raat ke ek baj rahe hai, kya kar rahi hai! (It is almost 1 am, what are you doing!)" Kareena then recollected how she thought to herself that Saroj Khan would scream at her.
Saroj Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have collaborated on various songs. One such track was 'Yeh Ishq Haaye' from Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met'. Saroj Khan had gone on to won a National Award for choreographing the song. The veteran dance director had won three National Awards in her career spanning over 2000 songs.
