Ashutosh Gowariker wants to cast Sara Ali Khan for his next film

Ever since Sara Ali Khan was clicked outside Ashutosh Gowariker’s office in Khar a few days ago, the media has been abuzz with what could have transpired in that meeting.  Speculations have been rife that the star kid will be seen in the acclaimed filmmaker’s future project.

Now, it turns out that Ashu has indeed evinced an interest in casting Sara opposite Arjun Kapoor in his next film, which is a historical based on the three battles fought between the 16th and 18th centuries. A source says, “Before the young actress paid Ashu a visit, the latter had dropped by on his good friend Abhishek Kapoor. He saw some rushes of the love story, Kedarnath, which features Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara. The Jodhaa Akbar director came away mighty impressed with her screen presence and performance. So, he wants to cast her in his own movie.” Ashutosh has already roped in Sanjay Dutt for a principal part for the same film.

Incidentally, Sara is bound by a contract with the makers of Kedarnath specifying that this would be her debut vehicle, which is due for release in December, 2018 as of now.
