While there are constant talks about Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 has also proven to be quite the movie since its release. Made on a smaller budget with the solo intention of educating its viewers and creating awareness, the Anubhav Sinha directorial is a charm in theatres.

Despite World Cup matches, having a non-holiday release with no ticket price hike, Article 15 starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role has won hearts. The film was also banned in certain areas due to religious purposes, but despite all of that, Article 15 has shown growth in its collection.

After minting Rs. 1.25 crore on Friday, the movie saw an almost double growth with Rs. 2.15 crore on saturday which is nothing but good news for the Anubhav Sinha directorial. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the same by tweeting, "#Article15 jumps again... Inches closer to 60 cr... [Week 3] Fri 1.25 cr, Sat 2.15 cr. Total: 55.83 cr. India biz."

Apart from Kabir Singh, Article 15 also faced competition from the Hollywood blockbuster franchise Spiderman: Far From Home. Spiderman: Far From Home released a week after Article 15. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the movie sees Ayushmann Khurrana play a cop for the first time.
