Nitesh Tiwari's project on Ramayana reportedly found its starcast in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. While Filmfare stated Hrithik was already in talks for the project, a recent report on Vogue magazine went on to state that Deepika Padukone also might be roped in the project after producer Madhu Mantena expressed his interest in bringing the actress on board.

Nitesh Tiwari is currently busy with promotions of his upcoming film Chhichhore. KoiMoi caught up with the director, when they asked him about the speculations regarding Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone being cast in Ramayana. To that, Tiwari went on to counter-question, “You said ‘rumours’, right?”

Further revealing whether he has started thinking about the starcast, the director said, “I have not yet started thinking about the cast yet. First we are trying to get it right on papers, with our executions, and with our thought process and everything. We are still trying to get there.. baaki baatein we’ll start with later.”

Being helmed by Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari and late actor Sridevi's MOM helmer Ravi Udyawar, Ramayana in 3D would be produced by Allu Aravind, Namit Malhotra and Madhu Mantena not only in Hindi but also Tamil and Telugu. The budget of the film is Rs. 500 crore.
