Anurag Kashyap replaces Vikramaditya Motwane to direct second season of Sacred Games

Anurag Kashyap, who is making Manmarziyaan with Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu, will be directing the second season of Sacred Games next. The Vikram Chandra authored book by the same name is being made into a series for the digital platform with Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and Surveen Chawla playing the principal characters. The first season, helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane, will be out next month. Anurag, we hear, begins filming his season this September and they will be shooting extensively in Mumbai. Their production house’s plan is to make a four-part series of eight episodes each.
