Anupam Kher kickstarts ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’; see his first look photos as former PM Manmohan Singh

The team of The Accidental Prime Minister, including Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna, started filming the project recently. Based on the book of the same name, written by former prime minister Manmohan Singh's media adviser Sanjay Baru, the film feature Anupam in the lead role of Manmohan Singh.

National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta has written the screenplay, and the movie will be Vijay Rutnakar Gutte's directorial debut. Anupam released his look as the former Prime Minister on Twitter on Thursday, and we must say, there’s an uncanny resemblance between the two as the actor aces the look

Sharing his look, the veteran actor wrote, “Happy to share my first look of #DrManmohanSingh, India’s Former Prime Minister from the movie #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister directed by #VijayRatnakarGutte & produced by #BohraBrothers. In the images, Anupam is shown in character as he attends the affairs of the state. He is seen sporting a full white beard and turban

Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna, who was last seen in Ittefaq, will play author Sanjay Baru in the screen adaptation of the best selling novel.
