Bollywood actresses tell us if they are game for an app of their own...

Sonam Kapoor was the first Indian celebrity to have an app of her own. Salman Khan, Disha Patani and Amy Jackson soon followed suit. Almost everyone in Bollywood takes to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to promote their films, make announcements, or just post stuff to connect with fans. With these platforms already serving the purpose, do Bollywood stars still need apps of their own? We ask actresses who haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet...
I think it’s a fantastic way to reach out to your fans, who also want to know what you’re up to. But for now, I am pretty content with what I’ve been able to achieve with my current digital platforms, because I feel it serves the same purpose that an app would. But, if the time comes, and if it feels right, then maybe I’ll have an app of my own. It’s a really cool thing to do. I have been approached many times, but it’s all about the timing.
There have been a number of discussions about me having an app of my own. But then again, I’ve come on all social platforms a little late. It’s amazing to see the number of followers, ‘likes’, etc. that I have on Facebook in a short time. I’d rather let the current platforms get more traction first, and then think about branching out into an app as well. I don’t know enough about apps, but I certainly don’t have an aversion to it.
I don’t have any plans of having an app of my own. I’m quite active on the four important social media platforms — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. So it makes little sense to me to have an app of my own.
