Amrita Singh, who was last seen as the loud and fussy Punjabi mother in 2 States (2014) and A Flying Jatt (2016), will return to the big screen with Red Chillies Entertainment’s upcoming crime thriller Badla. This time, too, the actress will essay the role of a Punjabi mother. However, there is a twist in the tale. The audience has already seen a glimpse of the veteran actor in the trailer.

Badla, which has been shot in Glasgow, UK, boasts of a strong cast with Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The trailer has left the audiences intrigued about the murder mystery in which Taapsee plays the main suspect.

After Pink (2016), the actress and the Big B will reunite to play a client and lawyer duo in Badla. Apart from Amrita and Manav Kaul, the film also stars talented Malayalam actor Tony Luke, who forays into Hindi cinema with this Sujoy Ghosh directorial.

Badla, presented by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Azure Entertainment and produced by Gauri Khan, Sunir Kheterpal and Akshai Puri, releases on March 8.
