Amitabh Bachchan urges people to 'be in protection' as COVID-19 cases soar; pic inside

As the number of COVID-19 cases surges in the country, megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday urged countrymen to stay safe.

The superstar, who is among some of the most active senior actors on social media, took to Instagram to share his picture wearing a protective face shield on the sets of his famous quiz show "Kaun Banega Crorepati".

In the picture, Bachchan is seen all decked up in a blue coloured suit. "Be safe .. and be in protection," he wrote in the caption urging everyone to stay protected amid the coronavirus pandemic. For the uninformed, in July, the Pink actor had been detected with COVID-19. He along with Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughter Aaradhya. 

The actor had been flooded by prayer messages and wishes. However, there were also some people who claimed that the actor had been doing this to promote the hospital who had been surrounded by some controversies in the recent past. Recently, a lot of people had slammed the actor for not speaking up for Sushant Singh Rajput after the late actor's death as well. 

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has Chehre co-starring Emraan Hashmi, Rhea Chakraborty, Annu Kapoor to name a few. He also has Sairat helmer Nagraj Manjule's Jhund in the pipeline. His sci-fi fantasy film, Brashmastra co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is scheduled to release on 4th December 2020. He is also said to star in Nastik and Aankhen 2.

In other news, Amazon Alexa on Monday announced a partnership with Amitabh to create a unique voice experience for its Indian fans. The Amazon Alexa team will work closely with Bachchan to capture his voice and deliver a new voice experience to customers. It will include popular offerings like jokes, weather, shayaris, motivational quotes, advice, and more.
