Amitabh Bachchan shares glimpses of traditional Holi celebrations with Jaya, Aishwarya and Shweta

Holi is one of those festivals which is celebrated with a lot of fervour and enthusiasm across the country. The nation celebrates the triumph of good over evil post the Holika Dehen ritual on the eve of the festival. 

The next day, people apply colour on each other's face and play Holi with balloons willed with coloured water. When the entire country is immersed in the Holi celebrations, how can the Bachchan clan be left behind? 

Turns out that the Bachchan pariwaar celebrated a traditional Holi at their residence in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter account to share a few pictures from the festivities. 

Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan can be seen around the Holika. In one of the pictures, Jaya Bachchan can be seen putting the tilak on Big B's forehead while in another one, he can be seen giving his blessings to grand daughter Aaradhya. 

Big B captioned the pictures writing, "T 2730 - the Holika has been burnt and the prayers done .. the 'tilak' colours put .. and the special sweetmeat for the occasion 'gujiya' consumed .."
