Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a behind-the-scenes (BTS) story from his film 'Deewaar'. The megastar revealed that his iconic ‘knotted shirt’ look in the movie was actually a tailoring glitch. He recalled that the shirt was made so long by mistake that they had to knot it up. At the time, the director did not have the time to replace the shirt nor the actor and hence they had to improvise.

While sharing the picture he wrote, "… those were the days my friend .. and the knotted shirt .. it has a story .. first day of shoot .. shot ready .. camera about to roll .. and the discovery that the shirt has been made too long - beyond the knees .. director could not wait for another shirt or a replaced actor .. so tied it up in a knot and …"

'Deewaar' remains one of the most iconic films to date, fans still revisit this classic recalling its famous dialogues and a very unique premise of the film. The film released in 1975, it was written by Salim-Javed and directed by Yash Chopra. The film also starred Shashi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Nirupa Roy and Parveen Babi. 'Deewaar' became one of the most popular films of all times among fans and critics. 

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for his next film 'Goodbye'. He will also be seen in Rumy Jaffrey’s 'Chehre', where he plays the role of a criminal lawyer co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Rhea Chakraborty and Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra', co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
