Akshay Kumar wraps up Reema Kagti’s 'Gold' with a somersault

Actor Akshay Kumar has wrapped up the shooting of his another much-awaited film, Gold.

The 50-year-old actor took to social media to express his happiness and shared a cinematic video of himself doing a somersault on a beach while he is wearing a white dhoti and kurta. "A good beginning makes a good ending... True story. It's a wrap for GOLD, an incredible journey with a great team. See you at the movies #ItsAWrap #Gold," the actor captioned the video.

The first schedule of the film, which is based on India's historic Olympic gold medal win after Independence,was shot in London in July while the second schedule was filmed in Patiala. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and directed by Reema Kagti, the film marks the feature film debut of TV actor Mouni Roy. Gold is slated to hit the theatres on August 15 next year.

Meanwhile, before Gold, Akshay will be seen in Padman and Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0.
