One of the busiest stars in B-Town, who is a producers' actor and is approached for all big projects is today's time, Akshay Kumar was once rejected during his early days.
Yes, that's perplexing but true!
If a report by Woman's era is to be believed, Akshay Kumar auditioned for the role of Shekhar Malhotra in Aamir Khan starrer Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.
But director Mansoor Khan not happy with Akshay's performance in the audition renounced him and hence, Deepak Tijori ended up playing the role.
For the audition of the role, Khiladi Kumar was made to shoot for a volleyball sequence.
Revealing the story to a media portal, as quoted by the website, Akshay Kumar said, “Apna screen test diya maine, for Deepak Tijori’s role. And they didn’t like it. And, apparently, I was crap, so they removed me.”
In 2016’s MAMI festival, choreographer Farah Khan, who was also the part of casting team of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander had said that director Mansoor Khan didn’t find him (Akshay Kumar) fit for the role of Shekhar Malhotra and so he rejected him.
We wish Mansoor Khan hadn’t said no to the actor because if he wouldn't have rejected him we would have seen two great actors on the silver screen together.
But looks like we have to wait now!
On the work front, Akshay Kumar has five films in his kitty, including Gold, Good News, Housefull 4, 2.0 and Kesari.
At the moment, Akshay is shooting for Kesari.
The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi that took place between the Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and the Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen in 1897.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is all set to release during Holi 2019.
The khiladi is also busy with the promotions of his upcoming release Gold that will hit the theaters on August 15.
'The sports drama marks the debut of television actress Mouni Roy.
