Historical sports drama Gold starring Akshay Kumar as Tapan Das, the assistant hockey manager, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor and Mouni Roy, hit the silver screen on Wednesday, on the occasion of Independence Day

The film which promises to impress the audience with stellar performances by the star cast and an amazing story traces traces the story of Tapan Das, a young hockey assistant manager who dreams of playing for an independent nation.

His hatred for British Raj propels him to find and recruit the best hockey players in India to make a team that will beat India's oppressor at their game in their backyard!

All the stars who are a part of the film have proved their mettle as actors, but it seems quite obvious that the khiladi of Bollywood is going to outshine the younger lot.

But we are sure that Akshay, who is really helpul and humble, makes sure that everybody on sets is comfortable and not starstruck or awkward by his presence.

In fact the Special 26 actor, who has been in the film industry for 28 long years now, unknowingly helps his co-stars and gives them wonderful tips about how to be an amazing artiste and a producer's actor.

And why do we say this?

During a promotional event, when Mouni Roy was asked if there was any incident where she went up to Akshay to ask something or to learn, she said, "Yes, of course. We all go to him and ask for help. In fact a lot of times he (Akshay) doesn't even know that he is helping us!"

She also went on to say that many a times, just before shooting a scene he would say something spontaneously which usually would be a brilliant idea.

"Suddenly he will come before a scene and say something spontaneously and that is usually a brilliant idea. He doesn’t even realize how he’s helping his co-actors, being this humble self because of which you find him easy-breezy on the set," she further added.

So what is that one thing that she has learnt from him?

"So much! So he says that only good and honest work will get you more work," the actress said.

To this Akshay reminded her that "not going to parties", is one other thing that he has asked her to do.

"Yeah! Not going to parties is something that he told me. He also asked me to be a producer’s actor, which essentially means that I should be disciplined, have good work ethics, being on time and knowing lines by heart," Mouni further said.

Mouni Roy will next be seen on the silver screen in Ayan Mukherjee's Brahmastra
