After Shahid Kapoor, Sandeep Reddy Vanga may commence next Bollywood project with Ranbir Kapoor; details inside

Telugu filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga made his debut in Bollywood early in 2019. The director, right in his first Bollywood film, went on to create history at the Box Office. His movie Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, is the highest-grossing film of 2019 so far.

Now if reports on Mumbai Mirror are anything to go by, then Vanga has found another Bollywood actor for his next project. Sandeep, after Shahid, might be close to finalizing another Kapoor for his next. This Kapoor happens to be the much-in-demand Ranbir Kapoor.

“Sandeep narrated a story idea to Bhushan, who has liked it and will produce the film. They met yesterday to discuss the logistics and casting,” a source close to the development told the daily.

Also clearing up that Ranbir will commence the project after a while, the source added, “Ranbir has liked the concept and they will be meeting this week to discuss it further. Of course, even if Ranbir gives the nod, they will not be able to roll immediately because he has to wrap up two films, Brahmastra and Shamshera, first and is committed to a third, Luv Ranjan’s next with Ajay (Devgn) and Deepika (Padukone), which is being produced by Luv and Bhushan.”

Sandeep had interestingly previously revealed that he wants to make a Pan-India film. Currently, Ranbir is immersed in his superhero flick Brahmastra, but looking at the trend of Pan-India films, Junior Kapoor signing up Vanga's next might not come as a surprise.
