After actress Tanushree Dutta accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of 2008 film Horn Okay Pleasss, the latter had to step down and give up on his role in the upcoming film Housefull 4

Speculations around who will replace the actor in the film were doing rounds, with Rana Daggubati's name on the top of the list.

Looks like Rana is actually replacing Nana Patekar and has confirmed the news during a conversation with Mumbai Mirror.

The Baahubali actor told the daily, “It is always good to find work outside of Hyderabad, get to learn so much and do so many new things. I’ve never been part of a genre like Housefull and it’s always exciting to work with different genres. Working with Akshay Kumar again (after Neeraj Pandey’s 2015 action-spy thriller Baby), Sajid Nadiadwala and Farhad Samji is something I am really looking forward to.”

According to the same report, Rana will be joining the cast of the film in Mumbai next week. He is reportedly playing the role of a ghazal singer in the film.

Director Sajid Khan also stepped down from as the director of the film after he, too, was accused of sexual harassment by four women. He was replaced by filmmaker Farhad Samji.

Housefull 4, a slapstick comedy, stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde.
