After Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat', Rani Mukerji's 'Hichki' seeks blessings from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Rani Mukerji’s three year old hiatus comes to an end with Yash Raj Films’ ‘Hichki’ No wonder Queen Bee is making no stone unturned to promote the film which gives out an important social message of overcoming a weakness by  turning it into your biggest strength.

According to IANS report, the actress will also be part of the inaugaral session of the International Women's Conference (IWC)  on 23 February.In sync with the theme of her film Hichki, Rani will be seen talking about  weaknesses that exist in society and how can people overcome them. Rani said in a statement: "Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has focused on the power of positive thinking, of positive actions and of universal love and his message has resonated with countless people.It will be amazing to be part of this session and hear him speak. Hichki is all about harnessing your positivity and inner peace to bring out the best in you and I'm going to speak about this in his presence. I look forward to this interactive session."  

Rani plays the role of Naina Mathur who has a nervous system disorder Tourette Syndrome, which forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds. The film focusses on her character’s journey and how she overcomes her shortcoming and silences those who believe she can’t be a teacher.  Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma, the movie will release on 23 March.

Remember, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also backed Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmaavat when it was battling controversies before it’s release. Padmaavat was screened in the Art Of Living Ashram,  Bangalore on January 15th 2018. Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar watched the film in the presence of the filmmaker himself and was all praises for his cinema. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar praised Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh-starrer and did not find anything objectionable in it. Reports even suggest that after watching the film, spiritual guru was wondering people are protesting against the film. He even went on to say that the film is a tribute to Rajput honour and is a beautiful tribute to Queen Padmini.  Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also said that people should celebrate Padmaavat and feel proud about the film.
