John Abraham's upcoming film Parmanu - The Story of Pokhran which was earlier clashing with Anushka Sharma's Pari on Holi has now got a new release date. The film, which is an edge-of-the-seat thriller that aims at making every Indian proud- a true India Shining story, will release now on April 6, 2018. A statement from the production house informed about the same on Friday.

DNA had earlier told you that it was the decision of the producer Prernaa Arora, not to have this clash of Parmanu and Pari, since both the films are co-produced under the banner of KriArj Entertainment. Now Anushka's Pari will have a solo release and John's Parmanu will release after ample breathing space.

The film is an ode to the Indian army and scientists, who although ordinary people, truly accomplished extraordinary feats in the face of adversity. It salutes, celebrates and truly embraces the slogan- Jai Jawan Jai Vigyan. While the premise of the film is based on true events, the characters are fictitious.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film stars John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani. It will hit the theatres on April 6 this year.
