Aamir Khan is likely to produce Gulshan Kumar's biopic Mogul

It’s an AK v/s AK situation. Akshay Kumar, who had given his nod to Mogul, the biopic on the late music baron Gulshan Kumar, has reportedly exited the project. In the last few weeks, he has avoided answering a direct question on this topic. However, one hears from reliable sources that the actor has even returned the signing amount.

Director Subhash Kapoor of Jolly LLB franchise had told us that his work on the script is still on. Now, there has been a new development or like the filmis would say, ‘Kahani mein twist hai’. One hears that Aamir Khan, who says ‘no’ more often than ‘yes’ when it comes to movies, has reportedly stepped in to produce the film. After he takes over the reins, one doesn’t know what changes are due.

A source says, “Aamir will produce this biopic, which itself is an important development. Whether he will play the lead is not yet decided. No other details are known as of now.”

Aamir has shared a cordial relationship with Gulshan’s son Bhushan Kumar and his family. Some of his most memorable music has been distributed by their label and they share a successful professional relationship. Despite repeated attempts, Aamir remained unavailable for comment.
