Aamir Khan initiates guidelines for women’s safety

Aamir Khan has sprung into action. The Thugs Of Hindostan actor has started earnest talks with his friend and President of the Producers Guild of India, Siddharth Roy Kapur, asking him to ensure that a plan is in place to prevent sexual harassment of women within the film industry.

A source says, “Aamir has met Sid and the two of them have started putting down pointers on how to make the work environment safer for women.” The Guild sent out a statement two days ago saying there was an urgent need to set up a robust process to ensure the highest standards of safety for employees and crew members at the workplace. They were also setting up a committee to lead the effort. Aamir will be a part of it and play an instrumental role in helping the Guild come up with the best course of action that can be taken in curbing this menace.
