29 years of 'Saajan': Madhuri Dixit reveals why she said yes to film co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan

It's been 29 years since out-and-out romantic film Saajan released. The movie directed by Lawrence D'Souza became the highest-grossing Bollywood film back in 1991. The film stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan in the lead roles. Saajan was loved not only for its romantic story but also beautiful songs composed by Nadeem-Shravan while the lyrics were penned by Sameer. Today, as Saajan clocked 29 years of release, Madhuri took a trip down memory lane.

The Total Dhamaal actor took to her Instagram page and shared a still from Saajan also featuring Sanjay and Salman. Madhuri praised the film and also revealed that she instantly nodded yes after reading the script. Her caption read as "#29YearsOfSaajan After reading the script of this film, I instantly decided to be a part of it. The story was romantic, the dialogues were poetic and the music was brilliant!"

Madhuri and Sanjay were last seen in Kalank released in 2019. With this film, the came together after a gap of about two decades. While Madhuri shared screen space with Salman last in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam released in 2002.

Earlier at the launch of Kalank trailer, Sanjay was asked about reuniting with Madhuri after so many years. To which he had said, "It felt good to work together after a long time. I'll try to work more with her."

While Madhuri said, "We are working after more than 20 years. Recently, I worked with Anil after a long time. It's always wonderful to work with the actors you've worked with before. Even here, it was wonderful."
