2. Dia Mirza as Manyata Dutt

The role of Sanjay's current wife Maanayata Dutt will be played by the gorgeous Dia Mirza. Maanayata is the actor's third wife. Sanjay's first wife Richa Sharma died in 1996. Following which he married Rhea Pillai in 1998, but they got divorced in 2005. Sanjay then married Maanayata in 2008. Sanjay and Manyata Dutt since then have been going strong.
3. Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt

Paresh Rawal helms the role of Sunil Dutt in 'Sanju'. Sunil passed away in 2005. He was a popular actor and politician, and was very close to his son Sanjay Dutt.
4. Manisha Koirala

The character of Sanjay Dutt's mother Nargis Dutt will be played by Manisha Koirala. Nargis died in 1981 after suffering from pancreatic cancer.
5. Anushka Sharma as a filmmaker

In the trailer, Anushka Sharma is seen as an important person to whom Ranbir's character pours his heart out. Raju Hirani during the trailer launch had said, "Anushka Sharma actually jo role kar rahi hai Woh actually main aur Abhijat Hain. She is playing us, not a filmmaker but a biographer."
6. Vicky Kaushal as Paresh Ghelani

Paresh Ghelani, the character played by Vicky Kaushal in 'Sanju', is a very dear friend of Sanjay Dutt. Ghelani is based in America.
7. Sonam Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt's lady love

Speculations are rife that Sonam Kapoor plays the role of Tina Munim in the sanjay Dutt biopic. Sanjay and Tina were childhood friends and eventually fell in love. But their affair could not last forever. Tina left Sanjay due to his destructive drinking habit. But nothing from the filmmakers side has been confirmed. Some reports suggest that Sonam's character is a reflective of all the women in Sanjay's life.

Earlier it was speculated that Jim sarbh plays the role of salman Khan in 'Sanju', but according to a recent article by International Business Standard, Jim plays the role of a drug dealer in the film. However, nothing concrete is known yet.
9. Karishma Tanna as Madhuri Dixit

Karishma Tanna is said to have bagged a role in the film 'Sanju', and if rumors are to be believed, she plays the character of Madhuri Dixit, with whom Sanjay reportedly had a controversial affair. However, there is no mention of Karishma in the credit list of the teaser.
