Neetu Kapoor is celebrating her 62nd birthday today.
Neetu Kapoor is celebrating her birthday today and she has turned 62. The veteran actor is having a quiet birthday today as she lost her husband and actor Rishi Kapoor earlier this year. However, her family including daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and son Ranbir Kapoor made sure to make their mother happy on her special day. Riddhima had taken to her Instagram page and shared a few glimpses from the intimate birthday celebrations of Neetu Kapoor.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the actor's birthday, we decided to trace her journey from being a child artist to a leading heroine in the 70s. Then in the 80s, she donned the role of a wife to Rishi Kapoor and mother to Riddhima and Ranbir. Neetu is also a doting grandmother to Samara Sahni and her Instagram page is proof.

Neetu Kapoor started her acting career as a child artist in the year 1966. She was named Baby Sonia in movies until the age of eight. She starred in movies namely Suraj, Dus Lakh, Do Dooni Char, Do Kaliyaan, Waris, Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Pavitra Paapi.
Then she made her debut as a leading lady with the 1973 film Rikshawala. Since then there was no turning back for, she went on to star in numerous movies and became one of the leading actors of the 70s. Her frequent collaboration with Rishi Kapoor made them favourite among fans.
Few of Neetu's popular films include Khel Khel Mein, Rafoo Chakkar, Deewaar, Kabhie Kabhie, Dharam Veer, Amar Akbar Anthony, Parvarish, Doosra Aadmi, Aana, Kasme Vaade, Heeralal Pannalal, Kaala Patthar, Jaani Dushman, The Burning Train, Yaarana to name a few.
Neetu took a sabbatical in the 80s post marrying Rishi Kapoor. She then made a comeback in 2009 with Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal. Soon after that, her every movie she co-starred with her husband, late actor Rishi.

After falling in love on the sets of their movie, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor tied the knot in the year 1980. They have been considered as one of the cutest and lovable couples of all times. Neetu stayed with Rishi through thick and thin. They faced several ups and downs during their marital life but their love made them emerge stronger.
Even when Rishi was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, Neetu moved to the US for his smooth treatment. She was as Rishi called 'Rock of Gibraltar' for him. When he passed away earlier this year, Neetu shared a photo of the late actor and wrote 'End of story' which made everyone emotional instantly.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's first born. They welcomed her in the first year of their marriage. After getting married to Bharat Sahni, Riddhima moved to Delhi, but the distance didn't stop her from showering love on her parents. She often visits them and currently, she is staying with Neetu after Rishi Kapoor's demise. She has been constantly sharing sweet moments on her Instagram page which are a treat to one's eyes.

Ranbir Kapoor is the second child of Rishi and Neetu born in the year 1982. He has always been Mama's boy and Neetu couldn't stop heaping praises on her son be it for being himself, his movie performances and more.
