Here's a look at 6 Bollywood actors who will be playing negative characters on-screen
Alfred Hitchcock once said, “The more successful the villain, the more successful the film.” Villains have always had a special place in visual entertainment, be it in Hollywood or Bollywood. A hero always eventually outdoes his antagonist on-screen but there have been several times when the bad guys have stolen lead actors' thunder - either by their menacing looks or their captivating performances.
Be it Heath Ledger's 'Joker' in Christopher Nolan's superhero film 'The Dark Knight', Amjad Khan's 'Gabbar Singh' in the iconic 'Sholay', Amrish Puri's 'Mogambo' from 'Mr. India' or Ranveer Singh's 'Alauddin Khilji' in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' - these super villains got more limelight than the heroes of the films and rightly so. They have become synonymous to these films and it goes on to proof that any role could earn you accolades, if done right.

Akshay Kumar has mostly played the role of idealistic, altruistic and patriotic heroes on-screen and it will hopefully be a pleasant change to see him play an antagonist, that too opposite Rajinikanth in 2.0.
2. Ashutosh Rana in Dhadak

For the longest time, Ashutosh Rana has held the record for being the most frightful villains in Bollywood. The 'Sangharsh' actor is currently garnering praises from all quarters for his earnest portrayal of a ruthless upper-caste politician in Dharma Productions’ recently-released 'Dhadak', starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. He will be seen donning the bad guy's hat again in Anubhav Sinha's 'Mulk'.
3. Sonu Sood in Simmba

After playing a quintessential Bollywood baddie in 'Dabangg', Sonu Sood will be making a comeback as the villain with Rohit Shetty's upcoming action drama, 'Simmba', starring Ranveer Singh in the titular role.
4. Mouni Roy in Brahmastra

TV industry's indisputable queen, Mouni Roy, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar's 'Gold', will be seen playing a typical vamp in Ayan Mukerji's much-anticipated sci-fi 'Brahmastra'. The film also stars real life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
5. Pankaj Tripathi in Super 30

One of Bollywood's finest actors, Pankaj Tripathi, will be returning to the dark side with Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30'. The national film awardee will reportedly be undergoing major transformation for his role.
6. Mandira Bedi in Saaho

Mandira Bedi will be returning to films after a long hiatus with the much awaited 'Saaho', starring 'Baahubali' star Prabhas. She was last seen in Anil Kapoor's television series '24' where she had played a grey character. It will be interesting to watch her essay an out and out negative character on screen.
